Each family is required to do a health screening at home which includes to conduct a temperature check for all individuals who are coming to the school. Students or parents may not attend school if they have had a temperature of greater than 100.0°F at any time in the past 14 days.
Mandatory mask use for teachers, students over 3 years old and parents at all times indoors, regardless of vaccination status. Acceptable face coverings for COVID-19 include but are not limited to cloth-based face coverings and surgical masks that cover both the mouth and nose.
Upon arrival each individual have to use the provided hand sanitizer by the entrance before entering the building. Hand sanitizer will be available in each class room and has to be used frequently, e.g coming back inside from an outdoor activity.
Teachers will ensure that social distancing of at least 6 ft. is maintained between individuals while in school facilities and on school grounds, unless safety or the core activity requires a shorter distance or individuals are of the same household.
For younger children who is required to have a parent attending we ask that only one parent/caregiver is present when activities are being conducted indoors.
Toys or educational material will not be shared unless they have been disinfected and all toys will be provided by the Swedish school. Students are not allowed to use any other toys that may be at the facility.
Each student is required to bring their own snack, sharing food and beverages is not allowed unless individuals are members of the same household. All snack breaks will take place outdoors as long as weather permits.
Each teacher will be provided with disinfect wipes and spray and will wipe off high touch surfaces like desks, chairs and door knobs after class.
Parents are required to inform the school if any of the individual in their household has tested positiv within 10 days of last being at the school and the student can not return until the mandatory quarantine given by New York State is over.
